Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet mess (spills or staining) in one session without the need to change devices. They can also reduce space in comparison to two separate units, especially in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bins and fill up their water tank, and wash their mopping pads using a dedicated dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking is related resource site and the quick-start guide can get you up and running in no time. You'll have a the complete dust bag, water tank, and hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a variety of attachments and brushes, and a user-friendly app that lets you select the exact kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You can, for example request the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models are unable to. The only issue it has is that it can smash into walls and other objects at full speed. However, just a glance at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and the obstacles it's run into or avoided.
The docking station features a handy LCD screen that displays when maintenance is needed, such as emptying debris and rinsing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank, by using a 600ml bottle filled with the eufy's solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, prior to needing to recharge or returning back to the base. You can view the full cleaning details in the app, which is clearly laid out and easily understood however we would like to be able distinguish between a vacuum only or mop and vacuum clean when looking at a clean area in the cleaning history.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. The model of this year features an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This increases the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners might overlook.
As with the two other Roborock models I've tested the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which helps it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they are an object that is a wall or a different surface. It can then change its direction automatically and clean around them without stumbling.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've examined, but it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek, angular style is striking and only has three physical buttons: the power button, which can also restart cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself and the bin is auto-refilling.
The only downside I've found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if needed), it's a pain to remove the mount for manual washing. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. related resource site can manage and set up these via the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll have to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with innovative features, superior suction power, and advanced mopping capabilities. Its smart design allows users to tailor and effectively clean while saving time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner that can deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the best alternatives available. This powerful vacuum cleans up dry mess, including pet hair and food particles. It also comes with a high-quality mop that makes hard floors spotlessly clean, even with a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet while in use, with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.
Another notable feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brushes, that allows it to reach difficult-to-access corners as well as clean furniture such as table and chair legs. It can also get under furniture that is low-profile, making it an excellent option for smaller apartments or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots, which is a nice touch that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by the frequent back-and-forth movement.
In contrast to other robots that are restricted to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop simultaneously. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpets and mop only hard floors, and reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is easy to use and understand and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are simple to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, view floor plans and mapping and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and inform you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features that make it an ideal option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It can also detect when the mop pad is overflowing and alert you before it overflows, thus reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive models available and comes with a lot of extra features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature in its mops, uses two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can vacuum up pet hair and small dirt particles as well as picking up spills and wet spots.
The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This is a great feature since it prevents the build-up of odours and mould in storage, and also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen in other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.
There are many options, including the option to schedule cleanings and change preferences. The app lets you make these settings or make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has a lot of options for customising the cleaning routine, and there are a lot of features that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles instead of using a manual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen on the market, sporting metallic and white colors that looks classy and sophisticated. It is a little heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this listing, but it's still not too heavy. It feels solid and well-constructed. The mopping design is also excellent and the double-rotating mops work well on hard floors as well as in corners. They can even extend up to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
